Hey Fam brings together lived experience, professional insight, and cultural integrity to support people navigating disability, care systems, and complex life challenges. Our team includes carers, youth workers, advocates, and system disruptors, all committed to walking alongside those who rarely feel heard. Our work is grounded in respect, empathy, and a deep understanding of what it means to live within systems that don’t always work. We don’t just provide community support; we stand up, speak out, and build pathways that reflect dignity, choice, inclusivity, and cultural safety.
We offer advocacy services, practical support, emotional connection, and strategic advocacy. Whether it’s navigating the NDIS, accessing resources, or simply having someone in your corner, we’re here to make the hard stuff easier and the good stuff possible.

jim frazer
Jim Frazer is the driving force behind Hey Fam, a leader in advocacy services within the disability support sector. He has built Hey Fam through lived experience, strategic insight, and a refusal to accept business-as-usual in disability care.
Jim has seen firsthand how systems fail the very people they’re meant to serve. When trying to find meaningful community support for a loved one, he realized the only thing that ever changed was the participant—not the model. Hey Fam was created to flip that script.
Jim’s advocacy is deeply personal. He’s navigated bureaucratic dead ends, watched families burn out, and witnessed how often care becomes replaced with compliance or worse, complacency. His journey led him to create something different: a space where people are seen, heard, and supported with integrity.
At Hey Fam, Jim leads with cultural respect, strategic clarity, and a deep commitment to doing things differently. He’s not here to just tick boxes; he’s here to build something meaningful from them.

Matthew is the creative engine behind Hey Fam, where we prioritize advocacy services and community support for those we serve. As Chief Ideas Officer and Head Cook, along with being our resident Lego master, he brings imagination, warmth, and a deep sense of purpose to everything we do. His ideas shape our programs, our culture, and the way we show up for our community, especially in the realm of disability support.
Whether he’s crafting meals that bring people together or sparking new concepts around the fire, Matthew leads with curiosity and care. His love for cooking, camping, music, and play reflects the heart of Hey Fam. His ideas are relational, grounded, and full of possibility.
Matthew’s leadership is hands-on and values-driven. He’s a connector, a creator, and a fierce advocate for doing things differently in our approach to community support. His work reminds us that support should be joyful, community-oriented, and built on trust.
