Meet Jim, the visionary director behind Hey Fam. With a corporate background spanning over 20 years, Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. In his down time, he has spent over 15 years providing disability support and as a carer. When trying to locate disability supports for a loved one, he realised that all support looked the same. The only difference is the participant. So he and Matthew decided to create Hey Fam, where we all look a little different.
Jim has witnessed first hand the challenges faced by individuals who feel unheard, unsupported, and neglected by the system. Having been dragged through the wringer by a system designed to prioritise itself above all else, including those that the system is supposed to support and protect, his unwavering dedication to advocating for those without a voice led him to search for something truly meaningful.
Driven by his own personal journey of fighting for disability services and additional support, Jim made the courageous decision to establish Hey Fam. His mission is clear: to empower and uplift those who have been overlooked and unheard. Jim understands that traditional approaches may fall short, which is why he proudly embraces an unconventional approach to disability support.

Meet Matthew, the creative force behind Hey Fam. He is our Chief Ideas Officer and Head Cook. With a contagious passion for making a difference, Matthew brings a unique blend of talents and interests to our team.
When he's not busy cooking up delicious meals that nourish the body and soul, Matthew is the driving force behind Hey Fam's innovations. His imaginative approach and out-of-the-box thinking breathe life into our mission, ensuring that we constantly push the boundaries of what's possible in the realm of disability support.
Matthew's zest for life extends beyond his work at Hey Fam. He finds joy in the simple pleasures of lego, fishing, camping, and exploring the great outdoors. Whether he's casting a line into the tranquil waters or building with Lego, Matthew embraces the spirit of adventure and the power of play.
